This story begins more than ten years ago, on a eclave of exceptional beauty and wildlife, Doñana National Park. Then, I was still inexperienced, but this place had something magical, something that completely seduced me and pushed me to keep learning more and more. Even today, awed by that first contact, losing myself in its unique landscapes is still taking much of my time away.
After years of experience from the hand of different photographic equipments, the ultimate goal of my work has changed. The indiscriminate collection of images that marked my beginnings have given way to a more rigorous and insatiable pursuit of uniqueness in my work. Thereby, my goal is to capture images that convey the true essence that nature provides us at that moment, from the purity of a freshly snow-covered tree, until the haunted mystique of a forest in the fog.
This obsession with showing what, even being within sight to everyone, have never been captured by presenting some difficulty undoubtedly reflects my perfectionist nature and portrays, with surprising delicacy, a huge work of prospecting and search for new locations.
The result of their work, Diego has to his credit with the publication of many of his photographs in some of the most prestigious national and international publications related to their work, such as National Geographic, GEO, Wild Vision, Best Europe, Natura, The Cattle, Chasseur d'images, Outdoor Photography, Practical Photography, Paisajes desde el tren, Natur + Cosmos or National Geographic Travel.
Furthermore, he has been awarded various international competitions such as the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year of the GDT, Glanzlichter, Asferico, Memorial Maria Luisa, Montphoto or Festival Montier. It has been one of Europe's greatest photographers chosen for Nature photography project ever undertaken within communities "Wild Wonders of Europe", sponsored by National Geographic, WWF, Nokia, etc.
